One evening, Ksyusha returned home where she was waiting for an anton’s husband. He expressed anxiety that she was carrying heavy foods, but Ksyusha waved away from him, mentioning a discount on the chicken. Then Anton told his wife that the mother-in-law, Svetlana, had to talk to them about something important … Entering the mother’s room, Ksyusha came across memories of a traumatic incident of 15 years ago, associated with her brother Roman. Svetlana looked upset and reported that the novel, which was serving the term, sent a telegram about her rapid return. This news worried the family. Svetlana, fearing for her daughter’s safety, suggested that she move with her family. Anton would be particularly affected, who put years of hard work in repair of the apartment and all his money.
He felt deceived that Svetlana again preferred her son – a famous brawler – not them. Ksyusha, also feeling the image, spoke to her mother that she always preferred the novel. The conversation immediately revealed ancient family contradictions and differences in each family members. The situation intensified so much that Ksyusha, Anton and their son decided to leave the apartment immediately and move to Anton’s parents. Leaving herself, Svetlana regret her decision, feeling what a deep disorder occurred in the family for hours earlier. Subsequently, she was called from police and reported that the novel had done something again, and he was threatened again.
Having despair to keep her son from prison, she agreed to pay a huge amount to hide the incident. The next day, police reported Svetlana that Roman died in a brutal fight a few hours after his release. Ksyusha, having learned about her brother’s death, she reluctantly agreed to meet her mother, but refused to be present at the funeral. A couple of days later, Svetlana called her daughter and suggested teaching her to cook cocoa – a reminder of happy times and at least some gesture of reconciliation. Despite the split past family, the prospect of gathering together for a moment gave everyone hope.
