Mykola Vasilyevich fed predatory animals around, and did not even imagine the consequences of his steps until a wolf appeared near his house
Mykola Vasilyevich was a forester for many years and was fearless when it came to the forest. In a few years he made the forest with his house. Every time a man heard strange sounds in the evenings, he ran in their direction instead of hiding in his home. One day, a tired and exhausted fox looked at him. For a long time, Nicholas brought her a good piece of meat from the refrigerator. “You are probably hungry,” he said the fox, “the forest grows rapidly, and it becomes difficult for all animals to survive in these shrubs.” The fox looked at him with gratitude and ate meat.
Later, a wolf appeared in the bushes, looking at him with hungry eyes. Nikolai knew that he could not allow a predatory animal to go to the nearest village for food, so he brought her a little meat. The wolf often returned, and Nicholas even made it with her. Suddenly, the wolf stopped visiting him. Six months have passed, and Mykola Vasilyevich again heard her sounds in the bushes. He was surprised, finding two little wolves near her.
-They are probably hungry, -said the man, bringing them meat. From that day, the wolf and her baby became the regular guests of Nicholas. The forester soon realized that the wolf brought meat not only to herself but also to her cubs. “You are so smart,” he told her, “I never thought that a predatory animal could be so gentle … Somehow, the wolf and her cubs enjoyed the last pieces of meat and seemed to say goodbye to her friend.” Nikolai knew that they moved to another forest with their herd, but friendship with them was remembered for life.
