I almost agreed to persuade a man to get a rural house, but I won his conversation with Zolovka, and I split their nasty plan.
When I married Nicholas, we decided to move with him to my grandmother’s house and my grandfather I inherited. Nicholas and his family lived under one roof before our marriage, so it was natural for us to settle in my house. I worked in the city, 25 kilometers from the house, and everything went well until Nicholas lost the work of the tractor driver.
Since it was difficult to find a job in our village, Nicholas persuaded me to sell a house and buy an apartment in a city where, in his opinion, there was more opportunities for employment. Despite my doubt, Nicholas continued to persuade me, emphasizing the benefits that would bring the move, especially if we plan to have children. One day I returned home earlier than usual, and listened to Nicholas talking to my sister, who was visiting us.
She advised Nicholas to sell my house, buy an apartment, and then decide with me to claim half of the property. Going into the kitchen, I was silent that I heard their conversation, but at heart was disappointed with their dishonesty. After Zolovka left, I said Nicholas that I would not sell the house, and he could not understand why I was so fast changed my decision. I lost his trust in him. Now I’m not sure what to do and whether I need to work with him.
