Maria was proud of her son who gave life for the best thing. But her heart froze when she realized that her grandson would follow her father’s footsteps.
One day, the sleepless night, when it was already greeted, Maria went outside and detained her gaze on her garden beds, which was not yet cooled by the dampness of the morning. Among the hole, she noticed snowdrops that were pierced through the soil, which immediately caused her a waterfall of tears. They reminded her of her only son, who once gave her these flowers with love. Her son, Michael, died, defending her homeland.
Moving patriotism, he volunteered, and his farewell words sounded like this: “Mom, I will not be able to live quietly.” One day, Maria received the most tragic news in her life. As a result, she, her daughter -in -law and little grandson Nazar, mourned Michael, who lost her life at 40. But life required stability. Nazar, who was only 16 years old, needed support. Maria moved to Italy, worked constantly to help her family financially, promote the acquisition of Nazar medical education and the construction of the house.
After the beginning of the next horrific events, and despite the request of the daughter -in -law to stay safe in Italy, Maria returned home. The influx of news and destruction awakened the memories of Michael and his act. One morning Nazar approached her with a heavy heart and said the words that were very similar to his father’s words: “Grandma, I will not be able to live quietly if I stay at home …” Maria blessed Nazar, entrust him with a sacred struggle, believing in his safe return and victory for all.
