Baba Nina found an unusual egg in her yard and took it home. And in a few days Baba Nina was not able to believe her eyes, seeing who hatched from there.
Baba Nina, who lives in a small village near the forest itself, has always been known for her love for animals. Her yard was a real animal kingdom: she fed chickens, looked after the goat, and even skillfully treated the bees. Her benevolent attitude towards creatures surrounding respect and admiration for all neighbors. One early morning, Baba Nina, as always, went out into the yard to feed her chickens. She scattered the grain, laughed at how the chickens fought for each crumb. But soon her gaze stopped on something unusual: among ordinary chicken eggs lay one strange almost white egg.
Going closer, Baba Nina found that this egg was much larger than ordinary chicken. It was smooth and shiny, as if made of gems. Baba Nina lifted him carefully and decided to take it home to study more carefully. The days have passed, and a strange egg has never changed. However, a week later, in the evening, when Baba Nina was sitting by the window and wearing a basket of sedge, she heard quiet knocks. At first, she thought it was rain, but the sound was too regular. Going to the egg, she saw a thin crack crack, and something white began to appear from it. Nina’s heart was harder.
She couldn’t take her eyes off what was happening. The gap became increasing, and finally a small creature hatched from the egg. For a moment, it lay, shaking, and then lifting her head. Baba Nina almost jumped in surprise. A baby swan came out of the egg, his white fluffy body glittered in the sun’s rays. The little swan lifted his head and looked at Grandma Nina with his bright blue eyes. What happened seemed incredible. Baba Nina couldn’t believe her eyes, but she knew that this moment would be unforgettable in her life.
She decided to call the little swan “Light” because of his brilliant feathers. Subsequently, the room became an integral part of Baba Nina’s life. He became her faithful companion: they walked together near the lake, the light floated on the water like a real swan, and even sometimes made short flights, pleasing grandmother Nina with his sophistication. The fairy tale of grandmother Nina and Svitlika flew around the village and far beyond it. People came to visit Grandma Nina to see a miracle – a swan hatched from chicken eggs. This story reminded everyone that kindness and care of nature are able to do true miracles.
